After many long years, V-Force has finally updated the Profiler paintball mask. Introducing the brand new Profiler 2.0 paintball goggle! Sure, a new goggle system with a lot of hype and history built around it is really sweet, but is it that much better than its progenitor? That's what we're going to talk about today.
THE HYPE IS REAL. But is it worth it?
Okay, what I mean by that is from personal experience. As someone who got the original Profiler goggles many many years ago, it was ICONIC at the time! It was one of the very first masks to have a quick-change lens system, had incredible vision, and was extremely comfortable to wear over long periods of time. Of course, as time marches on, so do features on newer goggle systems, and the Profiler didn't exactly move on with this trend.Â
Now with the Profiler 2.0 out, those features are realized and have delivered! New dual-layered foam, increased ventilation in the front and sides, soft ears, and a snap-in visor, the Profiler 2.0 has taken everything about the original that needed to change and....well changed it.
Is EVERYTHING new? Or just some things?
Not everything has changed, and this is a good thing. The Profiler has arguably one of the best lenses in the game, and it's the primary feature that has been brought back. Not only is it the lens itself, but also the lens retention system is back, and has a small improvement made to it. Normally you would remove the goggle strap to get access to the retainer clips for the lens, and could pop them out super easily. But now, you have to slide those little retention clips forward to pop the lens out. This ensures a much more secure fit for the lens overall.
Closing Remarks
The V-Force Profiler 2.0 is a long awaited, much needed, slam dunk of a paintball mask. Boasting that incredible field of view, improved breathability, and super comfy dual-layered foam all add up to make a damn good goggle system. Oh yeah, it's also only $94.95 (as of 03/26/2025) and comes in four launch colors. Overall I think this goggle system will rival that of other $100 goggles, but I truly think the Profiler 2.0 does it all better. There's no way you can really compete against the field of view and breathability, while not compromising coverage or protection for the wearer.Â
