The Empire Mini GS is an affordable and reliable paintball marker, widely popular for its performance on the field. Known for being the best entry level electronic marker that can hold its own against high-end guns, the Mini GS is a favorite among players that are wanting to explore speedball. To keep it performing at its best, regular maintenance is key. Here’s how to properly maintain your Empire Mini GS:
Cleaning and Maintaining the Bolt System:
-
Remove the Bolt System: Start by taking the screw out of the frame, located just below the back of the Mini GS to release the bolt system. If it doesn't come out easily, wiggle it back and forth to loosen it up.
-
Disassemble the Bolt: Remove the bolt and bolt spring from the system.
-
Clean the Bolt: Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away any old lubricant, dirt, or debris from the bolt, bolt guide, and the spring area.
-
Lubricate: Apply a thin, even coat of lubricant or grease to all the o-rings on the bolt system, bolt guide, and the bolt itself. Don't overdo it, this can lead to bolt stick.
-
Reassemble the Bolt: Install the main spring back onto the bolt. If it’s too loose, flip it around to reinstall it properly. Ensure the silver peg on the bottom of the bolt lines up correctly, then reinsert the bolt system into the Mini GS. Once it's back in the body of the marker, put the screw back in to secure the bolt system in place.
-
Test and Dry Fire: Air up the marker and dry fire it 10-20 times. This helps distribute the lubricant evenly across the o-rings and prevents bolt stick.
That’s it! By following these simple steps, you’ll keep your Empire Mini GS in top shape, ensuring smooth performance and extending the life of your marker. Regular maintenance, like this, is just as essential as changing the oil in your car – it’s quick, easy, and essential for consistent performance on the paintball field.
